What we're looking for
We have 1 open position for Full Stack JavaScript Engineer for early-stage startup. As a Founding Engineer you will be one of the first engineer hires in the company, reporting directly to the CEO/CTO. As such, you'll play a massive role in establishing how to do things, what tech will be used, and team culture. So we are looking for someone who can be the foundation of an engineering team from a technical and cultural standpoint.
Being part of an early-stage startup, you can expect to be working on a lot of different things, but your focus will be to help build and improve a robust web3 product for communities.

Consumer business is becoming more and more community-led, and they are equipping them with the tools to kick ass.

- You have strong opinions backed up by clear structured thinking and good communication.
- You are a self-organized professional who naturally takes the initiative instead of waiting for orderั.
- You're an experienced software engineer with a passion for creating and shipping great work.
- You are operating at a senior level, meaning you're able to work cross-functionally, make informed decisions, mentor more junior members, and understand how your work fits into the big picture.
- You're not afraid to challenge the status quo, and bring your own ideas to the table.
What you will do
- Day to day you'll be working closely with the whole team, but mostly product, design, and tech.
- Building new product features
- Improving and fixing product issues
- Experimenting and iterating
- Prototype and test new ideas
- Participating in interviews and supporting eng hiring decisions
What this role is NOT
- It’s not a regular software engineer role — you’ll be jumping in to work on lots of different problems with us. This will involve different technologies (some that we might not know yet!), different problems, contributing your ideas, helping out other team members, and even chatting to our users.
- It’s not a role where all your work is delegated — there is planned stuff (which you’ll be involved with planning) but you’ll also be proactive in making things better.
Skills
- Frontend: NextJS, TypeScript, ChakraUI
- Backend: TypeScript, Prisma, MySQL
- Infra: GCP (Cloud Run, Cloud Functions, BigQuery + more)
- Smart Contracts: Solidity
You don't need to be an expert in all of these, but you should be happy and willing to get your hands dirty and learn.
